In the Land of Morning
This song, “In the Land of Morning,” which reminds me of the Indian poet Tagore, is written by Park Geonho, composed by Gil Okyoon, and singer Kim Yeonja(1986). It was selected as the theme song for the 1988 Seoul Olympics, but due to various reasons, it was disqualified and the theme song for the Seoul Olympics is a song called “Hand in Hand” by the group Koreana.
Singer Kim Yeonja, who had previously entered the Japanese music market in the rearly 1980s. She re-entered the Japan market again thanks to this song.

On November 11, 2023, singers Yang Jieun and Jeon Yujin sang this song as a duet on KBS1 TV's "Immortal Songs" program. Theys have had a very close relationship through trot contests. They sang really well with a clean tone. In particular, the "Arirang" song sung by singer Jeon Yu-jin in the middle part was an arrangement of the original song, and it went well with singer Yang Jieun's Korean traditional vocalization, leaving a great impression. Let's listen. It has a different feeling from the original song.
